Terrace Week at NN Hotels. Three dreamy places you can't miss
With the arrival of good weather, the terraces of Barcelona's hotels become essential spaces to combat the heat of the Mediterranean. And as usual, the Terrace Week marks the beginning of the 2019 season with a new edition from June 7 to 16, full of leisure proposals.
For 10 days, these urban oases will be, more than ever, protagonists in the city, among which stand out the exclusive and privileged La Isabela at the H1898, the cosmopolitan REC Lounge at the Hotel REC, and the central Jazz-Cub at the Hotel Jazz. Three spaces that, whether for their spectacular views, their strategic location, their tasty tapas, or exquisite cocktails, are the perfect place in which to live an authentic experience for the senses.
La Isabela
During the Barcelona Hotel Terraces Week, La Isabela at the H1898 will feature a perfect pairing to enjoy the 360-degree Barcelona skyline. Catalan rumba will take center stage with two live music sessions on Friday the 7th and Saturday the 15th, from 7 pm to 9 pm, when we can experience the city's most authentic sound, with a group that has extensive stage experience, while we savor the best cocktails made with Monkey 47 and signature tapas designed by chef Carles Boronat. There will also be a space for international pop-rock music on Thursday the 13th, from 5 pm to 7 pm, performed by Canadian Cece Giannotti, one of the great singers, guitarists, and composers of pop, rock, and other styles on the local scene, with whom to enjoy the best afterwork in La Isabela with cocktails by Grey Goose.
La Isabela is one of the most sought-after terraces for its exclusive atmosphere, privileged location, and 360-degree views of Barcelona. There, visitors can enjoy a romantic dinner under the stars as well as elaborate cocktails. Set in an environment with colonial-era reminiscences, La Isabela moves well into the night to the rhythm of chill out & lounge.
REC Lounge
When we think of a neighborhood in our city that is committed to culture, art, and the most contemporary Barcelona, without a doubt, the Born comes to mind. This ancient neighborhood of La Ribera has become in recent years the epicenter of the coolest trends of the moment. In the heart of this cozy neighborhood is the Hotel REC, a sustainable space designed for an adult and urban clientele who enjoy discovering the most authentic corners of the city, as is undoubtedly the Born neighborhood.
With its excellent location, Hotel REC joins the Terrace Week as a superb integrator of the new cultural axis that bathes the city from the REC Lounge, a cozy space open to the outdoors on the 7th floor of the building, which, thanks to its large windows, allows natural light to enter throughout the day. There we can experience five live music events paired with the best selection of tapas & cocktails to end the day with spectacular views over the Sant Pere, Santa Caterina, and La Ribera neighborhoods. On Fridays 7 and 14, from 9 pm to 11 pm, it will be the turn of Catalan rumba, with songs and rhythms that will make us all get up from our seats. On the 8th and 15th, from 6 pm to 8 pm, the music takes on a deeper edge with two Groove sound music sessions, while on Thursday the 13th, from 7 pm to 9 pm, the spotlight will be on international pop-rock with classics known by everyone.
Jazz Cub
On its 8th floor, the central Hotel Jazz hides a gem to be discovered: the terrace Jazz Cub. This spacious area surprises with its magnificent views of Barcelona: from the sea to the mountains of Tibidabo and Montjuïc. At dusk, the Jazz Cub transforms into a cozy Lounge-Bar, a pleasant atmosphere and chill-out vibe... in which the Galleda, a light and sound show, takes center stage. One of the most cosmopolitan terraces in Barcelona that will leave no one indifferent. This space will become, on the 13th, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, a meeting point in the center of Barcelona to enjoy the best Catalan rumba. And they will also feature Deep Jazz House DJ & Sax by Titö Cava, on the 14th, between 7:30 pm and 10 pm. The Jazz-Cub will delight all those who wish to end the evening enjoying Mediterranean-flavored tapas, accompanied by elaborate cocktails.
Three terraces with different plans that adapt to you and your circumstances. And if it rains or summer doesn't quite show up, no worries! The terraces will remain open for you the rest of the summer with experiences that will make you feel on top of the world. Dare to come up!
