Rehabilitating a historic building
In 1986, Grup Núñez i Navarro purchased the Granvia hotel with the aim of renovating it and turning it into a modern and luxurious hotel, with 53 rooms and a 500 m2 garden terrace. The rehabilitation works began in October 2012 and were completed in May 2013.
With about a dozen proposals in the city of Barcelona to date, Núñez y Navarro Hotels inaugurated the first facilities between the 70s and 90s, thus beginning a long and successful business trajectory. In the 70s, the first two (Europark and the then Núñez Urgell) paved the way, and in the 90s, the Paral·lel and the Granvia itself, the fourth in the group at that time.
For its spectacular architecture and, above all, for the exquisite and elegant decoration, the Granvia Hotel has served as a setting for numerous films, TV series, and photo shoots for fashion magazines, particularly standing out are the sessions by the prestigious photographer Outumuro.
