Who is Pilarín Bayés?

Pilarín Bayés, Madrazo 79. Her unmistakable style, full of humour and tenderness, has enchanted generations of readers since the 1960s. With a career spanning more than five decades, Bayés has left an indelible mark on children's literature and Catalan culture, standing out for her ability to transmit stories and values through her illustrations. Her work has won numerous awards, consolidating her as an essential figure in the field of illustration.

"I thought about grandparents and grandchildren and all those situations in which grandparents and grandchildren meet. Very different grandparents, very different grandchildren but united by this bond. This mural is a reflection, from one side and from the other, to see how lucky grandchildren are to have grandparents and grandparents to have grandchildren."

The project

The artist Pilarín Bayés pays tribute to old and young people in our latest mural NN Wallery. A work of art that will accompany the construction of a new sustainable facility dedicated to social and health care for the elderly in the Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona.
