That's the proposal Seagram's Gin brings to The Corner Hotel, a month and a half experience where you can soak up the New York spirit in the heart of Barcelona. Classy and without pretense. Until December 16th, Seagram's has prepared a vast catalog of experiences and content brought straight from the streets of New York. The location of The Corner Hotel has been key to achieving that atmosphere, as pointed out by Linden Prade, bartender at Dante NYC, “In Eixample, I feel in the middle of the real city, working and sharing the local lifestyle. Those large windows that let the city into the hotel are fantastic”.
Your bar is one of the offerings that provides this limited-time experience in our city. Founded in 1915 under the name of Caffe Dante in the heart of the Italian neighborhood, Dante NYC has always looked towards old Europe as a point of reference, evident when introducing the concept of aperitivo so popular in Italy and Spain into its menu. “For us, it has been key to transfer this culture to America and it's fantastic to return to the source of inspiration”, adds Pride.
And judging by its loyal clientele and multiple accolades, European integration in New York has been a success. Among the VIPs who have regularly frequented this iconic bar throughout the 20th century are the late Hemingway, singer Patti Smith, and actors Alec Baldwin, Al Pacino, and Whoopi Goldberg. This year, it has been considered the best bar in the USA and the 16th worldwide. According to Linden Pride, “in a venue, you can't be the best just with drinks or just with service. To make people come back, you have to be good at everything and take your time to get to know your customers and create an emotional connection[…] Thus, a community is built around it that has millions of memories associated with Dante, and that's why we are part of NY's history”. Now, Dante NYC opens its doors at The Corner Hotel from Thursday to Sunday with its exquisite original cocktails.
Another experience offered by the Seagram’s New York Hotel at The Corner is the chance to enjoy the best brunch in New York according to NY Magazine, courtesy of Sunday in Brooklyn. From Friday to Sunday, The Corner will be filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, hot sandwiches, and hazelnut pancakes, some of the dishes from the exquisite menu available all year round at this picturesque Williamsburg restaurant. Thus, Sunday in Brooklyn becomes a place where you can enjoy at any time. From a quick coffee, matcha tea, or yogurt to salads, fish, meats, and seafood.
Jaime Young, one of the founding partners, has personally overseen the launch of Sunday in Brooklyn in Barcelona: “it's essential to share with different cultures and learn from each other.
