Alfred Smart Systems digitizes the service of NN Temporary Housing
The digital world has become our daily bread. We read newspapers, buy our clothes, and even order groceries to be delivered to our home with just a few clicks. We have practically everything at the tip of our index finger, in the blink of an eye. But, beyond providing convenience, speed, and accessibility, digitalization definitely improves aspects such as the security and sustainability of the processes where it is applied.
At Núñez i Navarro, we have launched a major commitment to digitalization across all our areas of activity, with a special focus on improving the experience that we, as a Group, offer to all our clients. A goal that we have fully materialized in the promotion Sagués 29, where we launched a 100% digital temporary rental housing service - with a minimum stay of 6 months and a maximum of 11 months - of fully furnished, decorated, and equipped apartments with all the necessary amenities.
Thanks to the incorporation of various services and online platforms, users who wish to do so can complete the entire rental process digitally, from requesting information to signing the contract and paying for their housing, with the utmost security. This digitalization also extends for the first time to the building itself and the apartments, which we have automated to provide greater comfort and security to its tenants.
When asked about the project, she looks back to tell us about its anecdotal beginning: "Alfred Smart Systems was founded in 2017 in Barcelona, aiming for a simple, compatible, and accessible technology for the future home of my founding partner's family, Manuel Berja. Not finding it in a single all-in-one solution on the market, we decided to invent it ourselves. What started as something for our own homes has evolved year after year into a system capable of transforming any space into a smart one, from apartments to houses, buildings, hotels, or offices."
A technology capable of providing three key benefits to the spaces where it is applied: "Our system, which benefits both landlords and tenants, contributes to optimizing energy consumption through monitoring, protects apartments by simulating the presence of inhabitants when tenants are not at home, performs control of potential water or smoke leaks, and facilitates digital access to both apartments and the building. All of this together helps to create spaces that improve people's quality of life, provide greater peace of mind and comfort, and represent significant savings in costs and energy. The app we have developed allows you to have unified control of your entire home from your mobile phone, at any time and wherever you are."
The goal they aim to achieve with this project is clear: "We want a single App to run the entire house, consolidating all devices into one to stop using a different remote for each thing. Alfred Smart turns a space into a smart one by adapting technology to your home, office, building... and not the other way around."
Daniel Batlle highlights the ease with which his services can be adapted to any space as one of the distinctive features that the brand offers: “Unlike other companies in the sector, ours is a solution that any installer can implement. In just a few hours, without wiring, construction, or renovations. This aspect, combined with a price within reach of any budget, allows us to democratize digitalization for all spaces. We are confident that all homes will be smart in the future. And at Alfred Smart Systems, we are ahead of the curve”.
When asked about the Sagués building, 29, she tells us that “for the promotion, we have installed our smart technology in 3 of the apartments and in the common areas of the building, digitizing the lighting, air conditioning, and access systems completely, with an electronic cylinder that doesn't require keys; monitoring energy and water consumption; installing wifi networks and enhancing the security of the apartments with flood sensors.”
Batlle acknowledges that there are still people who are skeptical about this technology capable of controlling their entire homes through a mobile app, although he warns that “they might not be aware that managing spaces in a smart way is even safer than doing it through traditional methods because technology allows to control, deactivate and activate everything from access to devices to wifi connections, utilities with just one click and with immediate notifications of everything that happens in each home.”
Jokingly, we consider the worst-case scenario and ask what would happen if we forgot the passwords to our smartphones: “It wouldn't be a problem. In addition to our uninterrupted online service, we could send you a copy of your house keys via WhatsApp. Unlike conventional physical key copies, these digital keys have a limited duration and can be cancelled at any time from the Alfred Smart user's app, ensuring greater security. Moreover, Alfred Smart Systems has private connection channels that are not externally accessible.”
Daniel outlines the main benefit of digitizing homes: “The fact that the building management is 100% digital makes the daily life of its tenants easier, as we offer a technical support service 365 days a year that allows resolving any issue remotely, without the need for travel and, therefore, in a shorter amount of time. On the other hand, digitization allows the NN Group to have a complete report on the monitoring of consumption, use of facilities, and specifics of their development in Sagüés.”
Beyond the comfort, safety, and convenience that home automation solutions provide, sustainability is another key factor that promotes the digitalization of homes: “Our comprehensive solution encompasses total control over home appliances. Thanks to technology, you can know and make their consumption more efficient, understanding the status and maintenance of the equipment and anticipating possible failures in the future before they occur. This represents a 30% savings in energy consumption for each household and prevents the waste of energy and unnecessary consumption that can be avoided, for example, by taking advantage of the orientation of each apartment, the different seasons, and the sunlight without affecting the comfort of the tenants”, he concludes.
The IoT technology that Alfred Smart Systems offers for our homes is undoubtedly a perfect all-in-one solution to optimize resources in an eco-efficient manner and add a high level of comfort and convenience. And it is the perfect complement for a promotion where digitalization and sustainability go hand in hand.
