At Grup Núñez i Navarro, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of our buildings and follow Net Zero criteria in the construction of our new developments. To achieve this, we implement innovative technologies and practices at all stages of the construction process, from planning and design to execution and maintenance.

Our nZEB promotions

Net Zero constructions or nZEB (nearly Zero Energy Building) minimize energy use through efficient building design, a fundamental and priority criterion in all projects. The main goal is none other than reduced energy consumption and for this to be largely met through the use of energy from renewable sources, such as photovoltaic panels, for example.

This facade is designed to improve the building's energy efficiency by allowing better air circulation and reducing the need for air conditioning.

SATAY back facade
We use an External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS) that provides thermal insulation, and maintains a comfortable temperature inside the building throughout the year.

Aluminum carpentry with thermal break and low-emissivity glazing
The windows and doors are made of aluminum that includes a thermal barrier to prevent heat loss and special glass that minimizes heat transmission, increasing energy efficiency.

Solar incidence regulation system using adjustable blinds
This system allows adjusting the amount of sunlight that enters the building, improving indoor comfort and reducing the need for air conditioning on hot days.

Aerothermal for air conditioning and domestic hot water
We use an aerothermal system that extracts energy from the outside air to provide heating, cooling, and hot water in an efficient and sustainable manner.
NN Group electrification
Electrification
We have eliminated the use of gas as an energy source, committing to the complete electrification of the building. This allows us to use renewable energy sources and reduce carbon emissions.

Improvement of thermal comfort through the “Air Zone System”
This system allows for temperature regulation by zones within the same dwelling, leading to improved comfort and resource optimization.

Decarbonization of buildings

In addition to implementing these technologies in our new developments, at Grup Núñez i Navarro we work to improve the energy certification level of the buildings we manage and refurbish.

Via Laietana, 26

We refurbished the historic facade with low-emission glass and thermally insulated covers. We implemented biophilic design and used natural materials with low emissions, restricting asbestos, lead, and mercury. We added 28 solar panels, aerothermal systems, and green energy, achieving 100% renewable energy in non-rentable areas.

Results:
27.90% global energy savings.
42.58% savings in overall water consumption.
Obtaining LEED and WELL international certifications.
NN Group Via Laietana Rehabilitation

Hotel Jazz

We replaced the gas boiler with an aerothermal system, a renewable energy system. We renovated the solar collection system for domestic hot water production, acting as support to the Aerothermal System.

Results:
30% reduction in non-renewable primary energy.

Hotel SOHO

We have removed the gas boilers and replaced them with aerothermal systems to produce domestic hot water, and we are in the process of installing two energy recovery units in the ventilation system.

Results:
12.20% kWh/m2 per year in energy savings.
13.66% kgCO2/m2 per year in CO2 savings.
